The French International School of Koh Samui (Windfield International School Group) is one of only four schools in Thailand approved by the French Ministry of Education and a proud partner of AEFE.

Students follow the French national program from kindergarten through 12th grade, ensuring smooth reintegration in France or continuing abroad after the Baccalauréat. Alongside, they benefit from intensive English and the study of other languages, including Thai, Spanish and Chinese.

As School Director, I am proud to help lead Windfield International School in building a vibrant, supportive, and future-focused community. Our vision goes beyond academic excellence — we aim to foster strong values, cultural awareness, and personal growth that prepare our students for life in a global society.

My role is to ensure that our school remains a place of stability, opportunity, and high standards. With the support of families and staff, Windfield will continue to grow as a learning centre where children feel valued, motivated, and ready to succeed.

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Head of the Primary British Section at Windfield School. As a fully qualified, registered British Department for Education (DfE) teacher, I bring extensive experience from both British and Thai international primary schools.

Originally from the UK, I have now lived and taught on Koh Samui for ten years. As a parent to two boys who are also primary students here, I am deeply invested in our school community both professionally and personally.

In my new role, I am dedicated to providing strategic leadership, ensuring academic excellence, and building strong, positive relationships. It is a privilege to lead our section as we equip our young learners with the confidence and skills they will need for tomorrow.

Hi, I’m Jessica Evans, Head of Secondary at Windfield International School.

My role is to support our students and teachers while helping to maintain high academic standards across Secondary.

This year, my focus is on strengthening teaching and learning, improving communication, supporting student progress, and creating a positive, ambitious environment where every student can succeed.

I’m looking forward to a successful 2026–2027 academic year and seeing what our students and staff achieve together.

It is a privilege to begin this new chapter as Windfield International School's English Coordinator. Originally from South Africa, I have over eight years of teaching experience and am now entering my fourth year as part of the Windfield family. I have had the opportunity to teach Cambridge English and work alongside dedicated colleagues and inspiring students, experiences that have helped shape my approach to education and leadership.

As English Coordinator, my focus is on supporting both students and teachers, strengthening our English programme, and creating opportunities for collaboration, growth, and academic excellence across the department. I am passionate about building a learning environment where curiosity is encouraged, high standards are maintained, and every student feels confident in their ability to succeed.

I believe that English is far more than just a subject, it is a gateway to creativity, critical thinking, and meaningful communication. Whether students are developing their writing, exploring language, or finding their voice through discussion.

I am grateful to continue my journey at Windfield in this new role and look forward to working with our students, families, and staff as we continue to learn, grow.

I am the Head of STEM within the Cambridge International Programme at Windfield International School, leading the development of our STEM curriculum, teaching within the Cambridge framework, and working closely with staff and leadership to build a strong, inquiry-driven STEM culture across the school.

I bring over a decade of experience in education and research across science, technology, and engineering, with a strong academic foundation from research work at the National University of Singapore, research collaborations with universities in the USA, and further research experience in Thailand, alongside experience teaching at the university level. My work has been published in Q1, high-impact peer-reviewed journals including Elsevier/ScienceDirect, presented at international conferences, and featured in a book chapter in science and engineering.

I am deeply passionate about bringing real-world, research-driven learning into the classroom, and I am committed to helping every student build the critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. I look forward to working alongside our students, families, and staff to make our STEM programme one of the strongest in the region.

I am a certified teacher in both the USA and the UK and have been teaching overseas since 2002 in Korea, Mongolia, and Thailand.

I have been with WIS since its inception in 2021 in the Primary section as a homeroom teacher for year 5 and 6, our Primary Coordinator, and Primary Safeguarding lead.

For the upcoming school year I will be working as a head teacher liaison between our administrators in Primary and our Primary teachers to ensure we have continually high standards and a high standardized approach to the needs of our international students.

As Head of Physical Education, I am committed to creating a positive and supportive environment where every student can develop physically, socially, and emotionally.

I am also proud to lead the WIS Sports Program, which includes the Football, Basketball, Volleyball, and Muay Thai Academies, where we inspire confidence, teamwork, respect, and a lifelong passion for sport.

I look forward to working together to make this another successful year for our school community.

I have been a primary school teacher for the past 12 years. This year, I am delighted to begin my new role as Head of Primary.

I am excited to embark on this new journey and am committed to being available and supportive to our students, families, and teaching staff.

I have been a mathematics teacher at Windfield International School for the past five years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work closely with our students and contribute to their academic growth.

This year, I am excited to take on the role of Head of Secondary for the French Section, with a particular focus on pedagogy. Working closely with the Head of French Section, my role is to support teachers, monitor students' academic progress, and help ensure a high-quality learning experience throughout middle and high school.

I believe that every student can succeed when they are challenged, supported, and encouraged to develop confidence in their abilities. I look forward to working together with our students, families, and colleagues to make this another successful school year.

Hi everyone! My name is Clément, and I’m the AEFE Sports Events Coordinator, as well as a PE teacher at Windfield International School.

In my role as AEFE sports Coordinator, I help organize and coordinate sporting events and competitions between AEFE schools. My goal is to create opportunities for students to meet, compete, share experiences, and build connections with students from other schools through sport.

These events are about much more than competition. They give students the opportunity to step outside their usual environment, meet students from different schools and cultures, develop teamwork and confidence, and learn important values such as respect, fair play, and perseverance. Above all, I hope these experiences will create great memories and friendships that go beyond the sports field.

Alongside this role, I teach Physical Education at WIS and enjoy helping students develop their skills, teamwork, confidence, and passion for sport.

I’m really excited to take on this role and contribute to creating memorable sporting experiences for our students and the wider AEFE school community.

I believe every child deserves to feel understood, valued, and empowered to thrive.

I've worked in education for a decade, with a background in teaching and educational psychology across Europe, the Caribbean, and Africa. Since the academic year 2022/2023, I've been part of the Windfield family for both the French and British sections. I served as Secondary Safeguarding Lead for two years, and this year I'm excited to take on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead.

I work closely with students, teachers, and families to understand each child's individual needs, fostering their emotional wellbeing, safety, and academic success every step of the way. Where additional help is needed, I assess what's required and guide the next steps.

Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Jerry Escala from the Philippines and I have 10 years of experience in education, including the past 8 years teaching in Thailand.

I am happy to be part of Windfield International School since 2021 and this school year marks my 4th year in my role as Head of the Art & Music Department and School Events Coordinator. Since joining Windfield, I have had the pleasure of teaching Primary and Secondary Art, including IGCSE and A Level Art and Design.

I am passionate about helping students develop their creativity, confidence and self-expression while making learning meaningful and enjoyable. I also enjoy creating memorable school events that bring our diverse community together and give our students opportunities to shine.

I’m an Admissions Officer at Windfield International School. With a background in customer service, I have developed strong communication and interpersonal skills through working with people from different cultures and backgrounds. I enjoy meeting new people, listening to their needs, and helping families feel welcome and supported.

I speak Thai, English, and Chinese, which allows me to communicate with families from a variety of backgrounds. In my role at Windfield, I enjoy supporting families throughout the admissions process, from their first enquiry to taking their first steps towards joining our school community.
