Getting to and from School Safely
The Windfield International School (WIS) bus service is available from Monday to Friday and is available for students in Reception to Year 13 (ages 3 to 18). Students are collected from home or centralised meeting points in the morning and dropped off at the same place of pick up in the afternoon. A parent or caregiver must be at the house to greet the child otherwise the bus nanny will take the child back to school where he/she is to be collected.
WIS School buses are monitored by GPS and will not exceed 80 kilometres per hour. Seat belts are provided for every passenger and students are expected to wear a seat belt. Each bus has an adult overseer in order to ensure the safety and well being of the students.
Parents are welcome to communicate directly with bus nannies by calling the phone number assigned to each bus. This information is emailed directly to parents at the beginning of the term.
Please consult the office for bookings whether it be for the term, the day or even for a single trip by visiting the front office, emailing [email protected] or calling 077-332-420
What We Stand For
Windfield International School seeks to inspire children to become global citizens through an inquiry-based learning environment of total immersion in multiple languages and cultures. We seek to incorporate the best of traditional values and Thai culture, with an engaging and forward-thinking programme that equips students for life and work in the 21st Century.
Teaching the Professionals of tomorrow
Windfield International School was founded as a result of collaboration between M. Stéphane Salaun, Director of the French School of Koh Samui and Sompob and Samat Yongsiri, a family of entrepreneurs and business people from Bangkok.
The Yongsiri family are passionate about education and are keen to invest in an educational project that takes into account the development of the child, not only from an academic point of view by offering the student a high quality education in both the French and British curriculum, but also from an holistic point of view by taking into consideration sound moral values, constant personalised attention, and the development the student’s extra-curricular talents (sports, music, dance, art, service to the community, etc), thus contributing to the education of students who will become responsible and committed world citizens.
The idea of bringing together a French and a British school on the same campus, each with their own program, will allow for constant linguistic exchanges between students, who will also share certain courses, and is a step towards opening them up to the world, preparing them for the future and instilling in them a life-long desire for educational excellence and continual improvement, in a secure and peaceful setting.
From our director
"Our students, whatever their age, are the heart of our school. Their well-being, progress and personal development are our constant concern, not only through quality education and teaching, but also through the transmission of strong values that will make them fulfilled citizens of the world, ready to meet the challenges that await them."
- Stéphane Salaün
