He comes to us from an international school in Tashkent where he was a founding Deputy Head of Secondary and where he led the school’s accreditation application with the IBO.

Mr Kaushal is an experienced school leader, having designed and implemented whole-school initiatives throughout his career, and will lead the establishment of the Secondary school as it begins its journey to reach the highest academic standards.

Mr Kaushal’s approach is inclusive, solution-focussed and always with an eye on success. A native of the northwest of England Mr Kaushal likes to relax by spending time with his family, playing badminton and the playing the occasional round of golf.

She has spent the last decade studying and working around the world – calling cities such as Athens in Greece; Istanbul in Turkey, and Muscat in Oman her home! She has been living in Hatyai for the last two years and is looking forward to moving to the beautiful island of Koh Samui.

She has collected languages from her travels and enjoys reading, painting, traveling, and watching documentaries in her spare time.

She also enjoys studying and has qualifications including; PGCEi from Nottingham University, EYFS Teaching Diploma, an NVQ Cache Level 3 in Early Childcare, TEFL, Safeguarding Children and Young Adults, and HR and Management Training.

She has rescued animals from her travels and will be moving to Koh Samui with her three cats and two dogs.

Mr. Y, as his students know him, is an American citizen, currently in his 18th year as an overseas instructor. He has taught kindergarten through KS2 at different schools in Korea, Mongolia, and Thailand, and has experience as an elementary level coordinator, Head Teacher, and academic supervisor.

He has a B.A. in English Literature, professional teaching certifications in the states of Washington and Florida, and QTS from the U.K. He is currently on his way towards a Master’s in Educational Leadership.

Doug has a lovely wife (also a teacher), a talented 6-year old daughter, and a strong, resolute passion for teaching. He has full commitment to helping his students realize their full potential and ownership of the learning process, as well as a strong focus on student-centered learning. He is looking forward to an extraordinary beginning year for Windfield International School, and to collaborate with an excellent team to best serve our students, parents, and the overall community.

In his free time, Doug is an avid film historian and writer, jazz aficionado, six-string guitar player, and (former) footballer. He hopes to realise long-term writing goals for a novel, screenplay, or a series of children’s stories.

I enjoy singing, biking and playing badminton. I hold a degree in Diploma in Education and a degree in Bachelor of Arts major in English from Roosevelt College Philippines.

This is now my 16th year as a Kindergarten/ homeroom Teacher in Thailand and my background is all from International schools.

I have a broad experience of teaching children of mixed ages ( 3-5 years old) and mixed abilities, mostly English as a second language and I am competent in the use of Early Years- Foundation Stage to aid assessment across the 7 areas of learning.

I also have a teaching background in the Montessori style of teaching based on self-directed activities and hands-on learning.

I teach after- school clubs across the kindergarten phase such as Story club, Yoga club, and Music club. I’m very much excited to join Windfield International School and thrilled to be part of the team.

I can’t wait to meet the children and the parents and looking forward to a year of learning, fun, and adventure!

Having completed his Master of Physics (MPhys) degree in Theoretical Physics in 2001, he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). After a number of roles in business, finance and corporate banking, Mark decided to change career, looking for something far more fulfilling and meaningful. 

In 2012, Mark was awarded a scholarship from the Institute of Physics (IoP) in the UK to train as a secondary science and mathematics teacher (P.G.C.E.), with studies taking place at Canterbury Christ Church University. He has experience in teaching physics, mathematics, general science, business studies, economics, finance, accountancy and English from Key Stage 3 through to GCSE, A-Level / IBDP / BTEC and undergraduate degree level courses. Mark has also acted as university admissions and career guidance counsellor for a large number of students throughout his nine years of teaching.

Since moving to Thailand, Mark has had experience teaching in International Schools, Thai English Programme Schools and International Colleges running university programmes. He also has previous experience implementing new curricula and courses in schools including International A-Levels and BTEC International Extended Diplomas.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys swimming, reading, spending time with family and being inspired by nature. Mark has also committed to completing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree, studying part-time whilst nurturing students at Windfield International School. Originally from Kent in the UK, Mark has been living in Thailand for the past six years. He is married to a Thai national with a three-year old daughter together, and is a Dad to two adopted Thai teenagers. Mark has firmly made Thailand his home.

Mike Davison is from Newcastle in England . He has a PGCE in international education and more than 10 years of teaching experience.

She is a graduate fresh from the University of Sunderland with a degree in English Language and will begin her PGCE in September 2021.

Sarah is TEFL certified and has over five years’ experience working with international students.

Her experience includes volunteering in Zambia, three years teaching EAL at a language centre in Kanchanaburi and two years of teaching EAL online to Chinese students.

She is skilled in cultural awareness, classroom management and differentiating instruction and will be joining us as an EAL Teacher from August 2021.

I’m Callum and I’m originally from Exeter in the UK.  

I previously spent time living and working as a teacher in Thailand and Vietnam and am very excited to be moving back to Thailand and Koh Samui in particular to embark on a new journey as a teacher at Windfield International School. 

I hold a BSc in Geography from Swansea University and a PGCE in secondary education. I have experience in teaching KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-Level Geography in the UK. I love teaching about the world in which we live in; from understanding the natural world, to appreciating the range of cultures, people and ways of life around the world. I aim to have diverse and engaging lessons which allow for plenty of critical thinking and problem solving. I like to challenge my students on the way in which they view the world and hope to get them to thinking as a global citizens.

Outside of the classroom I enjoy a range of sports from swimming to football and hope to be able to pass on my knowledge as a coach to help the students achieve in the sporting environment.

I look forward to meeting you all and building the new school community at WIS.

Hi everyone, my name is James Clements and I am very excited to be joining WIS as the head of physical education. As both sport and exercise are very important to me, my goal is to help every student achieve their full potential while gaining an understanding of the health benefits associated.  

I have been a Koh Samui resident for many years and have previously held the positions of both Head of PE and head teacher on the Island. I have taught many sports including football, swimming, rugby and basketball to all age ranges. With my experience in sporting and leadership roles, I bring an accomplished skillset to this new, ambitious school.  

I am keen to engage the students in a fun and challenging environment using the sporting facilities available. Additionally, I plan to include our school teams in a range of inter school competitions. I have organised and been involved in numerous sporting events on Koh Samui and I look forward to competing once again with my new students at WIS.

With 21 years of experience teaching primary school and English as a Second Language, Elizabeth has taught in the United States, Japan, Colombia, and her favourite – Thailand.

She taught upper primary at an international school in Chiang Mai for nine years before joining Windfield.

Elizabeth is passionate about education and believes that every child can learn in an environment that is engaging and supportive.

She enjoys yoga, art, travelling, gardening, reading, meditation, learning languages, surfing, and hiking with her dog.

His, community-focused, human-centered approach to life and his work’s excellence has been recognised by prestigious international organisations including ASTA’s Exhibition Design Awards, Modulex’s Design Awards, Fujifilm’s Euro Press Photo Award, and Beijing International Education’s Award for best foreign teachers in China.

Pedro was also nominated for the tri-annual ”Lushan Friendship Award” – the highest honor awarded by the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government to foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the Province’s economic and social development.

Amélie takes a great interest in gentle pedagogies and game-based approaches to teaching. In this respect, her Masters thesis studied how to use playful activities to empower children in their language learning process.

Some of the most important values she wishes to pass on to her students are self-esteem, respect of others, kindness, self-motivation and discipline.

Now he has a long musical career of more than 20 years playing all over the world – Angel has had global musical experience on the world stage ranging from Cuba to Spain to Italy, France and Germany and throughout Europe.

In Asia his musical experience includes Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand – As a result Angel is an internationally know and well respected professional Bass player with knowledge of several international styles of music.

Angel’s nationality and teaching skills led him to teach Spanish 6 years ago, first privately and then at an international school in Bangkok. A year ago he joined the French international school in Bangkok where he worked teaching Spanish full time.

During this time I also taught Thai language to Chinese professional’s. I then worked as a Chinese teacher at Jinhua school Chonburi Thailand teaching both Primary and Students from 2013-2015.

In 2016 I worked at Sacred Heart Convent School in Bangkok teaching both Primary and Secondary students.

In 2017 I began teaching Chinese independently to students of various ages in Koh Samui.

Soon after I began teaching Chinese at Access Language School.

During this time I was also awarded the Certificate of Online Business Chinese level 5 from BLCU (Beijing Language and Culture University).
